Jesus statue found broken in Tamil Nadu

Statues of Infant Jesus and Mother Mary were found desecrated in Udhagamandalam on Tuesday, triggering tension in the area, police said.

The head of the two statues, installed at a junction in the RC Colony, were found broken, triggering tension in the locality for some time with the local people gathering there, they said.
Police rushed to spot and dispersed the crowd assembled there. Investigations are on to identify and nab the culprits, police said.
