The Timor government parliament had yesterday rejected the plan to originate a central centre at East Timor to the illegal expatriates including Sri lankan intruding through boats to Australia.
Prime Minister of Timor Janana Kusmavo informed, a proposal was implemented by their parliament, in the manner of rejecting the Australian policy in constructing a central centre to the expatriates in Timor. He said, Australia’s intention was to construct a central centre at Timor to the illegal migrants from Sri lanka and other countries intruding to Australia by sea route, to get shelter and to proceed with the investigations to the relevant documents to establish their identities. Presently the refugees are detained at the Christmas Island, which belongs to Australia for medical examination.
Reports states, Prime Minister Julia Gillard had submitted a proposal to shelter the illegal migrants at a locality in the central centre, to shelter them, and to undergo a medical examination at a place away from Australia. Reports states, the former Prime Minister Kevin Rud lost his position, due to the reason of illegal migrant issues.
The rejection for the origination of a central centre to the migrants intruding to Australia was submitted by the new Australian Prime Minister in finding a solution to this migrant crisis.
