Chief Minister M Karunanidhi has convened a special meeting of senior ministers and top officials to discuss ways to expedite the implementation of various announcements made by him at the valedictory function of the World Classical Tamil Conference.On June 27, the CM announced the creation of a Rs 100 crore fund for the development of Tamil language and formation of the World Tolkappiyar Classical Tamil Sangam, based in Madurai, for conducting future Tamil conferences.
The meeting will be held at the Central Classical Tamil Institute library on July 3. Deputy Chief Minister MK Stalin, Finance Minister K Anbazhagan, Ministers and officials of the departments concerned will attend the meeting.
