Chandrababu Naidu, TDP MPs arrested in Maharashtra

Former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N Chandrababu Naidu was on Friday, Jul 16 arrested in Maharashtra's Nanded district along with five other Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MPs.
State home minister RR Patil said that the arrests were made as the TDP leaders had violated prohibitory orders.
The Andhra Pradesh leaders undertook a bus yatra to Babli near the Andhra Pradesh border to attend the 'national debate' on the controversial dam across Godavari being built by Maharashtra.

Patil had warned Naidu against the yatra citing that it may pose a threat to the law and order situation in the region.
The Maharashtra Home Minister had earlier even warned the former AP CM that he would be arrested if he visited Babhli barrage.
