Visiting Indian Navy Chief calls on Sri Lankan President


Chief of Naval Staff of the Indian Navy Admiral Nirmal Verma who arrived in the country Sunday paid a courtesy call on the Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa today at the Temple Trees.

Admiral Verma is on a five day visit to the Island as a part of efforts to strengthen bilateral defense ties with post-war Sri Lanka.
Secretary to the President Lalith Weeratunga, Vice Admiral Thisara Samarasinghe and Indian High Commissioner Ashok Kantha were also present.
