New Delhi: India's President Pratibha Patil and Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh warmly welcomed Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa and First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa at the President's Palace, the Rasthrapathi Bawan today.
Visiting President inspected a Guard of Honour at the Rashtrapathi Bhawan.
Following the reception President Rajapaksa and First Lady visited the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi Samadhi at Rajghat where President laid a wreath to pay his respect to the late great leader of India.
Secretary of Rajghat Samadhi Committee presented a bust of Mahatma Gandhi to the Sri Lankan President.
President Rajapaksa later held bilateral discussions with the Indian Prime Minister and Indian delegation at Hyderabad House.
