: Former Prime Minister of Malaysia Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamed is in Sri Lanka to address the 6th Annual Business Awards ceremony of the Sri Lanka Malaysia Business Council today at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel, in Colombo.
Dr. Mahathir who arrived in the island Tuesday is slated to deliver the keynote address this morning at the International Business Leaders' Forum on 'The Malaysian Development Experience and Opportunities for Sri Lanka's Economic Ascendance'.
Sri Lanka's Prime Minister D.M. Jayaratne will inaugurate the event.
Deputy Minister of Finance, Dr. Sarath Amunugama, Governor of Central Bank Ajith Nivard Cabraal and the CEO of Dialog Telekom, a Malaysian company, Dr. Hans Wijesuriya will join Dr. Mahathir later for a panel discussion on identifying the opportunities and challenges that could shape Sri Lanka's future in Asian context.
