Two men appeared on government TV on Sunday, after they allegedly confessed to police that they were involved in last weekend's grenade attack at the Bangkok Bank headquarters, and that they were red shirt supporters of the United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD).
Ekkachai Moolket and his uncle Sawai Yangsanteer confessed to police that they were involved in the grenade attack at the Bangkok Bank Silom branch last weekend.
Mr Ekkachai said that he was told by his uncle, Mr Sawai, to pick up a man at Silom Soi 3 but said he did not know that the man would carry out the grenade attack and that he did not know him personally.

After the attack, he said, he dropped the "bomber" near Bangkok Christian College and was shocked when he later realised that man was the grenade thrower.
Meanwhile, Sawai said the grenade thrower was a UDD member he met at a protest.
The man called Mr Sawai to find a motorcycle driver for him but did not pay to hire Mr Ekkachai.
Mr Ekkachai was charged with illegal possession of weapons and involvement in the attack while Mr Sawai was charged with hiring or inciting others to carry out the attack.
A Thai court earlier issued a warrant for the arrest of a man suspected of having thrown a bomb at Bangkok Bank’s Silom Road branch.
The suspect's picture was sketched from closed-circuit television installed at the bank and from evidence given by eyewitnesses. He is still at large.
Bangkok Bank’s Silom Road branch was one of four bank branches targeted for bombing last Saturday night. No casualties were reported in the incidents; two grenades exploded, one was defused, and one appeared to have been a dud. (TNA)
