Open University Malaysia (OUM) is offering an executive diploma in business and logistic in Tamil in an effort to encourage more Indians to go into business.
The first intake of 108 students started their course Sunday.
OUM aims at enrolling 2,000 students in its next intake, Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk T. Murugiah told reporters after launching the ten-month course here.
"As the Indian community is lagging behind in business, I hope the course would put the participants in good stead in opening their own business," he added.
Murugiah said OUM would also offer the executive diploma course off campus.
