A coordinating officer to the General told our News Web that Co-Leader of the UNF, Mangala Samaraweera and JVP parliamentarian Anura Kumara Dissanayake have been appointed as Co-Media Spokesmen for the common candidate General Sarath Fonskea during the election campaign.
All propaganda and media related events are to be organized under their supervision. A special media unit has been set up for the purpose opposite Royal College, Colombo.
Mangala Samaraweera and former JVP member Wimal Weerawansa were the Co-Media Spokesmen during President Mahinda
Rajapaksa’s campaign at the 2005 Presidential election.
