Noted author Chetan Bhagat who was in Chennai for the launch of Odyssey book shop’s new website ‘Odyssey 360.com’, held a session with students at Loyola College.
Some hot and happening ladies from tinsel world like Shruti Hassan, Suhasini, Kushboo, television personality Pooja and others were present. Chetan Bhagat made it lively with a debate that “Tamil girls are better than Punjabi Kudi’s!
It was an insightful and humorous take on marriage and girls. Kushboo said that she had a tough time in convincing her parents that she wanted to marry a Tamilian. Suhasini grilled Chetan for making nasty remarks about Tamil girls in his book, and also his lack of knowledge in Carnatic music.
There was also a book reading ceremony and when Sruthi and Chetan read a passage from the book together with Shruti ‘bleeping the inappropriate’ words, everybody had a good laugh!
Suhasini summed it up nicely when she said: “ Tamilians will not agree with many things that Chetan wrote in his book, but then that’s how Tamilians are. They always argue.” It was a well attended function.
