Basil offers financial help to Lakshman

UNP sources said Senior Presidential Advisor Basil Rajapaksa has intervened to help UNP parliamentarian Lakshman Seneviratne who is currently facing a financial crisis by paying his bank loans.

Sources said Basil Rajapaksa had helped Lakshman Seneviratne receive ownership of a rock quarry that was almost acquired by the People’s Bank for defaulting a loan payment of Rs. 60 lakhs by helping make the complete payment of the dues to the bank.
