PM misleading people on Lokpal issue, alleges Anna Hazare
Claiming that UPA can get a Lokpal Bill passed if it wanted, Anna Hazare today alleged that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was misleading people by harping on lack of consensus among parties when his party had managed support from others on issues like presidential election.

Manmohan Singh meets economic policy makers, calls for revival of 'animal spirit' in economy
Signalling his keenness to boost the economy a day after taking charge of the finance ministry, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today directed urgent steps for revival of investor spirit and reversal of the climate of pessimism with regeneration of "animal spirit".
Taking stock of the country's economy in a series of high level meetings here, he identified tax issues, sluggishness in insurance sector and aspects related to mutual funds as problem areas and pressed for quick corrective steps.

I will quit public life if graft charges proved: Manmohan Singh
Strongly rebutting Team Anna's allegations of corruption against him, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today offered to quit public life and face any punishment if charges on coal block allotments are proved.

Prime Minister clears Lokpal draft; to be tabled on Dec 27
The Lokpal bill prepared by government will be tabled in both houses of Parliament on Dec 27 as the Winter Session of the Parliament being extended till Dec 29 to pass the anti-graft bill.

2G: Is PM's faith on HM PC more imp than Indians' doubt?
The main opposition party, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) once again on Friday, Sept 23 poked Prime Minister Manmohan Singh over his "strong faith" on Home Minister P Chidambaram. BJP's Ravishankar Prasad Yadav hurled the fresh attack on the PM following a letter from finance minister Pranab Mukherjee who remarked Chidambaram of not doing enough to prevent 2G spectrum scam in 2008.

PM won't open Eco Park despite DMK invite
