Air India pilots end strike after 58 days

The 58-day protracted strike by Air India pilots was called off on Tuesday night after the Delhi high court asked them to join duty within 48 hours and the management to sympathetically consider their grievances.

Air India strike: Fly first, talks later, govt tells pilots

"Fly first, talks later" was government's firm message to striking Air India pilots refusing to resume work for the seventh day on Monday, as the airline stopped West-bound bookings for another two days and contemplated suspending global operations. As losses in the wake of the agitation by over 200 pilots of the Indian Pilots Guild crossed over Rs.150 crore, 14 international flights were cancelled, bringing no end to the woes of the passengers.

State-owned Air India risks losing a $5.8 billion government bailout, civil aviation minister Ajit Singh said on Thursday, as industrial action by pilots disrupted flights for a fourth day.

Air India to suspend bookings for 5 days as more pilots join stir

Another Air India pilot with fake papers exposed

The fake pilot scam is now getting bigger. CNN-IBN accessed notes from the US Aviation and the DGCA that expose another pilot who cheated and faked documents.
The papers reveal how a pilot whose licence was canceled in the US is a commander in Air India. Arjun Giare was caught by the US examiner in 2000 and the US Federal Aviation then canceled his license
