The 20th death anniversary of former Sri Lankan President Ranasinghe Premadasa who was killed in a Tamil Tiger suicide attack, falls tomorrow. A commemoration ceremony will take place in front of his statue at Hulftsdorp in Colombo, tomorrow morning. Senior lecturer in Sinhala studies at the Peradeniya University Attanayake M. Herath will deliver commemoration lecture at the Sri Sucharitha Hall in Colombo at 7:00 p.m. tonight. Buddhist religious rituals will take place at several places in the island to commemorate the late President. A Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) suicide bomber blew himself up during the May Day parade in 1993 killing the former President, his aide and several bodyguards.
