
Local media, citing immigration sources said, the United People's Freedom Alliance MP, critically injured in a shootout that killed the presidential adviser Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra and three others in Kolonnawa in October 2011, arrived in the country in the early hours of Tuesday. The MP, who sustained gunshot injuries to head in the shootout, was receiving treatment at the Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore. He will reportedly be seeking further treatment at a private hospital in Colombo. The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) last month filed four counts of charges against 13 suspects including MP Silva before the Colombo Magistrate's Court. The suspects were charged with murder, conspiracy, attempted murder and unlawful assembly with a common intention. -->
