Sri Lanka Child Protection Authority asks court to ban local porn websites depicting minor girls

The Special Investigations Police Unit of Sri Lanka National Child Protection Authority (NCPA) has sought court intervention to ban locally produced porn websites after it has discovered that there are about 50 of such websites depicting children.
The NCPA has found that some of these sites are portraying underage girls in school uniforms in lewd poses, local Daily Mirror reported. According to a NCPA official the websites are freely accessible to anyone on mobile phones with internet access. The NCPA has submitted a detailed report on these websites to the Battaramulla Children's Judicial Magistrate seeking court's intervention in banning these sites. The Magistrate has directed the NCPA report to the Attorney General for his advice. The case will be heard on the 30th after receiving advice from the Attorney General's Department. -->
