Sri Lanka External Affairs Minister to visit Russia and Kazakhstan

Sri Lanka's Minister of External Affairs Prof. G.L. Peiris will pay an official visit to Russia and Kazakhstan, the External Affairs Ministry announced Monday. Minister Peiris will visit the Russian Federation on the invitation of his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov, on May 23rd.
During the visit Prof. Peiris will hold official talks with Russian Foreign Minister on a range of bilateral issues important to both countries, the Ministry said. Minister Peiris will visit Kazakhstan on May 24th and 25th at the invitation of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Yerzhan Kazykhanov. During the visit, Prof. Peiris will hold official talks with his Kazakhstan counterpart and sign a Memorandum of Understanding on Annual Bilateral Consultations between the Foreign Ministries of Sri Lanka and Kazakhstan, the External Affairs Ministry said.
