Posters bearing Tamil Tiger name appear in Northern Sri Lanka town

Police sources from Sri Lanka say that some posters appeared in Vavuniya town of the Northern Province requesting Tamil people to light oil lamps on May 18 to commemorate the members of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) killed in war. Police said that
the posters were handwritten containing the LTTE name with slogans like LTTE leader Prabhakaran was not dead, "We rise again" and the "Thirst of the Tamil Tigers was Tamil Nation". So far no arrest has been made regarding the posters. Meanwhile, sources say that another poster appeared in Vavuniya that stated the LTTE was defunct in Sri Lanka and not to participate in the lighting of oil lamps on May 18. Instead, the posters that bore the name Tamil People's Freedom Unity Front requested the people to hold war victory celebrations on May 19.
