Sri Lanka's main opposition to educate organizers on party's future activities

Sri Lanka's main opposition United National Party (UNP) is to hold a workshop for its organizers next week.
The UNP has called all its organizers to be present at the party headquarters, Sirikotha on the 24th, 25th and 26th of this month. The party has informed that a workshop would be held for the organizers about the future activities of the UNP and the role expected to be played by the party organizers. The electoral organizers are also to be briefed about the UNP's scheduled May Day rally in Jaffna this year. The UNP's decision to brief its organizers about the party's activities comes at a time when there is speculation that the government might prematurely dissolve several provincial councils this year to hold elections in them.
