Sri Lanka ruling party ally warns India could be next target of Western nations over Kashmir

The Jathika Hela Urumaya (JHU), an ally of Sri Lanka's governing United People's Freedom Alliance (UPFA) says that India could be the next target of the Western conspiracies over the Kashmir issue. JHU General Secretary and government Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka said that India should support Sri Lanka at the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) sessions in Geneva.
Addressing a public seminar on the Western conspiracy in Geneva against Sri Lanka and how to face it, the Minister has called on India to stand by Sri Lanka with China and Russia. He has explained that the Western nations were conspiring against Sri Lanka as part of its strategy to spread its powers in the Indian Ocean. He has noted that the Indian Ocean was a strategic position in the 21st century and the US was trying to conspire against Sri Lanka and other countries in the region in order to spread its powers. According to Ranawaka, all countries in the region need to unite against the Western conspiracies in order to safeguard the region.
