Sri Lanka Minister of Education Bandula Gunawardena says that the school syllabuses will be changed in 2013.
The change is to commence from secondary level Grade 6 and the syllabus revision has already started, the Ministry sources say. Minister Gunawardena states that the writing of text books will commence in 2012 and will be completed within the year with the participation of a large number of educationists, academics and writers. The revised text books are to be distributed to the Grade 6 students by the end of the year.
