Moragoda proposes a forum for candidates to express views

The mayoral candidate of Sri Lanka's governing United People's Freedom Alliance (UPFA) for the Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) Milinda Moragoda has said that a forum of the main candidates of the four main political parties should be organized to express their visions.

Moragoda has made this proposal in response to the challenge put forward by main opposition United National Party (UNP) mayoral candidate A.J.M. Muzammil for an open debate between Moragoda and himself on the development plans for Colombo.

Moragoda has appointed Isuru Balapatabendi to coordinate the forum with Muzammil.

Balapatabendi has told the media that Moragoda is of the opinion that the main candidates of the other political parties should also be given an equal opportunity to express their views instead of limiting the battle to the candidates of the two main political parties.
