The United States Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Robert O. Blake, Jr. called on President Mahinda Rajapaksa at President's House in Colombo Monday morning.
Blake, who arrived this morning in Colombo for a three-day visit in Sri Lanka, is expected to meet with government officials, civil society representatives, university students and political leaders.
Minister of External Affairs Prof. G. L. Peiris, Secretary to the President Lalith Weeratunga and US Ambassador to Sri Lanka and Maldives Patricia Butenis were also present at the meeting.
