This year, a lot of Tamil movies seem to be finding remake space in Bollywood, inspiring actors and directors in here. The connection between Bollywood and Kollywood seems to be growing stronger by each day.
With ‘Dabaang’ made into ‘Osthi’ in Tamil and Kollywood hits like ‘Vinnaithandi Varuvaya’ being made into Hindi with new face Amy Jackson in the lead, ‘Ko’ being made into Hindi with Akshay Kumar playing the lead, there’s yet another movie joining this league.
Kollywood hit ‘Siruthai’ is being remade in Hindi with Akshay Kumar, again, playing the lead along with Sonakshi Sinha. The movie will be directed by Prabhu Deva and the music tuned in by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
In fact, ‘Siruthai’ is a remake of Telugu super hit ‘Vikramarkudu,’ that had Ravi Teja and Anushka Shetty playing the lead roles.
The movie is a perfect commercial entertainer and will have Akshay Kumar essaying the roles of a local petty thief and a tough police officer.
The project will go on floors this July.
