Sri Lankan court orders to send over 100 former LTTE members for rehabilitation

A Sri Lankan court has ordered today to send over 100 former LTTE members for rehabilitation.
Colombo Additional Magistrate Aruni Attygalle has ruled that 118 former LTTE activists should be sent for rehabilitation at the Poonthottam Rehabilitation Center.


The Magistrate has said that the former activists should be rehabilitated for a period of one year at the rehabilitation center.

Twenty three female activists are also among the 118 former combatants.

The Magistrate's order was delivered following a recommendation made by the committee appointed by the Attorney General to investigate into their condition.
