Asgiriya Chapter to confer an honorary title on Sri Lankan Media Minister

Sri Lanka's Media Minister Keheliya Rambukwella is to be bestowed an honorary title by the Asgiriya Maha Vihara Chapter Sangha Sabha on April 3.
The Government Information Department has said that the Sangha Sabha headed by the Asgiriya Chief Prelate has decided to confer the honorary title of 'Deshamamaka Janaprasadana Lanka Putra' on Rambukwella.

The decision to confer the title has been made in appreciation of the services rendered by Rambukwella as Media Spokesperson at a time the government was engaged in eradicating terrorism from the country.

Prime Minister D. M. Jayaratne and a number of parliamentarians are due to participate in the ceremony that is to take place at the Asgiri Maha Viharaya on April 3.
