Sri Lanka Marxist party Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) will hold its sixth general assembly on February 10 at Sugathadasa Stadium, Colombo.
A JVP spokesman said that the party Chairman, Secretary, Administrative Secretary and Propaganda Secretary will be elected anew at this general assembly.
The party is to elect a new politburo and a central committee too at the assembly, the party spokesman added.
The JVP has also planned to submit the party's future programme to the membership and get it approved.
Several foreign delegates have also been invited for the general assembly, says the JVP.
