Prabhakaran's mother Parvathi Velupillai, 81, passed away in a government hospital yesterday.
She lived with her relatives after the security forces handed her over to them following the death of Prabhakaran's father in January 2010.
No immediate family members are to participate in the funeral of Parvathi tomorrow. She has two daughters elder to Prabhakaran who live abroad.
