'Jewels Sri Lanka 2010' international gem, mineral, and jewellery exhibition organized by the National Gem and Jewellery Authority will open tomorrow at Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall, Colombo.
President Mahinda Rajapaksa is to open the three-day exhibition and trade show that runs from 10th ' 12th December 2010 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Gem and Jewellery Authority Chairman Anil Koswatta says that the objective of the exhibition is to open external markets to small and medium scale industries as well as to the market leaders.
The Authority aims to make Sri Lanka the leader of supplying high quality gems and jewelry production to the world.
Buyers from US, India, China, Thailand, Korea, Japan and Russia are expected to visit the exhibition.
