Fourteen students of the Engineering Faculty in Sri Lanka's Moratuwa University received injuries today in a clash between two student groups.
Greater Colombo area Deputy Inspector General Daya Samaraweera said that the clash broke out around 12:30 p.m. today between group of students from Engineering Faculty and a group from National Diploma of Technology section.
The clash extended until the evening and the police mediated to settle the issue.
University authorities removed all students from the university premises to settle the dispute.
Police sources say that an argument erupted regarding putting up a poster, developed into the clash.
