Sri Lanka's Peradeniya University to re-open closed faculties

Authorities of Sri Lanka's Peradeniya University have decided to re-open four faculties in the university that were temporarily closed a few weeks ago
.The faculties were closed last month following student unrest and they are to be re-opened on Monday (8).

Vice Chancellor of the Peradeniya University Professor Sarath Abeykoon has told the local media that the academic activities will recommence in the Agriculture, Arts, Engineering, and Science faculties.

The University closed the Arts and Agriculture faculties on October 29 while the Engineering and Science faculties were closed since October 14.

According to the Vice Chancellor, the decision to re-open the facilities was taken since the closure had disturbed the normal academic activities in the University.
