Sri Lanka police take action against local elderly porn stars

After publishing the photographs of the local porn stars who posed in adult websites, Sri Lanka Police Women's and Children's Bureau has taken steps to ban around 50 websites in which elderly local women appear.

A spokesman of the Women's and Children's Bureau said that a report on these websites posing mature women over age 60 would be submitted to Battaramulla Children's Court next week.

The Court has already directed the Telecommunication Regulatory Commission to firewall around 900 locally administered porn websites.

The Court also directed police to publish the photos of suspected offenders in media to identify and arrest them.

The media personnel however refused to publish the photos of about 85 porn actors wanted by the police due to fears of privacy infringements.
