Sri Lanka Opposition Leader invites Minister Weerawansa to attend UNP convention in December

A Sri Lankan minister today received an invitation to attend the annual convention of the main opposition United National Party (UNP) on December 12.

Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremasinghe invited Construction and Housing Minister Wimal Weerawansa to attend the UNP convention to witness its proceedings.
Weerawansa asked in parliament today if there would be a change in the UNP leadership at the annual convention this year.

Wickremasinghe in response invited Weerawansa to attend the convention in order to witness for himself the proceedings of the event.
