Sri Lanka Army to educate visitors to Jaffna from South on ethics and cultural values of North

Sri Lanka Army sources say that the Army has decided to conduct a brief educational course to the southerners visiting the recently liberated Northern Province areas.

Army Northern Command office is to conduct this course for the public who go to the North to visit important places and also to meet residents there.
Media Center for National Security website says that the Psychological Operations Branch and Civil Affairs Office of the Headquarters Security Forces (Jaffna) have commenced the programme to educate people entering Jaffna through Elephant pass (EPS).
The website reported that the importance of this educating programme was noticed by the Commander Major General Mahinda Hathurusinghe due to unsuitable behavior of a handful of visitors due to their ignorance of ethics, cultural values, and administrative procedures of some visiting places.
