BS Yeddyurappa summoned to Delhi

Karnataka chief minister BS Yeddyurappa, who is in the thick of controversy over denotification of prime urban land to his family members, was today called by party leadership for discussions here.

The chief minister, who presided over a cabinet meeting in Bangalore to order a judicial inquiry into the issue, will reach here late tonight, party sources said.

The core group of the BJP met at the residence of senior leader LK Advani in the wake of demands by the opposition parties in the state for the chief minister's resignation alleging nepotism and various scandals during the BJP rule.

There are also reports that there are divisions within BJP in the state with some MLAs reportedly initiating a campaigning for his removal.
