Tamil Political Parties Forum to decide including Sri Lanka's upcountry Tamil parties

The Tamil Political Parties Forum (TPPF) is yet to decide whether to include to Sri Lanka's upcountry Tamil political parties in the Forum.

The TPPF has said that a final decision on the inclusion of upcountry parties will be taken this week.
Tamil National Liberation Alliance (TNLA) leader and former TNA MP M. K. Sivajilingam has told the local media that a proposal has been put forward to the Forum proposing the inclusion of several other minority parties including those representing upcountry Tamils and the Muslim community.

He has said a final decision on the matter will be taken when the TPPF meets this Wednesday (November 03).

The TPPF was initially formed by Tamil political parties representing the North and East in order to address the issues faced by the Tamil community in the country.
