Sri Lanka's Association of Government Medical Laboratory Technologists (AGMLT) has said the laboratory technologists would launch a strike if the Health Ministry failed to provide the necessary facilities for the laboratory in the Kalutara Hospital.
The Association told the local media today that although the Kalutara Hospital laboratory is considered the best in the country, it had not received the required equipment and drugs.
According to the Association, while the equipment and drugs that have been brought for the lab have not been given to it, some of the tests have to be conducted from other laboratories as a result.
