Sri Lanka Tamil party to give evidence before the LLRC

Sri Lanka's major Tamil political party, Tamil National Alliance (TNA) has said that it will give evidence before the Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission (LLRC) within the next few weeks.

TNA parliamentarian Suresh Premachandran has told the local media that party leader R. Sampanthan would go before the LLRC to testify.
He has said that although the party is opposed to the Commission in principle, it had to put on record the plight of the Tamil people since it is the community that was most affected by the war.
Sampanthan has returned to the country after a foreign visit that lasted several months.
