Peiris, according to media reports has mentioned this fact during an interactive dialogue with Special Representative of the Secretary-General for children and Armed Conflict, Radhika Coomaraswamy at the 15th Session of the UN Human Rights Council, Geneva.
"Out of the 667 children, 316 were boys and 351 were girls. The rehabilitation process involved psycho-social counseling, spiritual guidance and social rehabilitation, special education classes and vocational training," he has said.
