Indictment on Sri Lanka's former Army Commander and aide delayed

Sri Lanka's Attorney General's Department has informed the Colombo High Court Wednesday that the indictment of former Army Commander General (Retd.) Sarath Fonseka and his coordinating Secretary Senaka Silva in the High Court has been delayed
.The State Counsel appearing for the case has reportedly informed the High Court today that the indictment will be served on September 28. Initially, the indictment was to be served this week.

The indictment has been delayed as Fonseka was attending a case before the Supreme Court.
Fonseka and Senaka Silva are to be indicted on the charges of harboring army deserters and conspiring against the government.
