Sri Lanka's Economic Development Minister to leave for India

Sri Lanka's Economic Development Minister and Senior Adviser to President, Basil Rajapaksa is to leave for India today on an official visit.
Minister Rajapaksa is expected to meet Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and other senior Indian government officials during his two-day tour.
Earlier a three-member delegation was to visit India for talks but only the Economic Development Minister will be visiting instead, government sources said.
The Minister is expected to brief the Indian officials on the current developments in the north and east and the measures taken by the government to address the concerns the Indian government has regarding the resettlement of displaced people.
