Sri Lanka beat New Zealand by 3 wickets to claim the second match of the triangular series at the Dambulla International Stadium today.
After restricting New Zealand to 192 in 48.1 overs Sri Lanka began the chase under the floodlights to score 195 for 7 in 40.5 overs.
Lasith Malinga and Angelo Mathews each claimed 3 wickets to keep the Kiwis at bay. Rangana Herath claimed two while Ajantha Mendis and Nuwan Kulasekara each took one.
Sri Lanka lost Dilshan early for 5 but Upul Tharanga steadied the chase to score 70 assisted by Sangakkara for 48 and Samaraweera for 36.
New Zealand demolished India by 200 runs in the series opener on Tuesday (10).
