India levels the series with 5-wicket win in Third Test

A ton from India's middle order batsman VVS Laxman helped India to beat Sri Lanka in the third Test and level the three-match Test series.

After Suraj Randiv's assault on India's top order batsmen, Laxman steady the run chase with Suresh Raina and Sachin Tendulkar to post a 5-wicket win against Sri Lanka today at the P. Sara Oval in Colombo.
Randiv picked 5 wickets in the last session bringing his total to 9 in this Test match. This is his second Test match.
Sri Lanka won the first Test in Galle and the second Test at SSC in Colombo was drawn.
Sri Lanka's captain Kumar Sangakkara lamented that the poor batting in the second innings cost the series. He appreciated the effort from Ajantha Mendis who scored 78 and Thilan Samaraweera for his 83 to get the total to 267 in the second innings.
