Defence Services wins the President's Rugby Trophy

Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa was the chief guest at the second annual encounter of the Presidential Cup Rugby Match between the Defence Services Team and the Sri Lanka Rugby Football Union President's XV at the Army Grounds yesterday (August 5).

Defence Services beat the SLRFU 39-10 to claim the Trophy from President Rajapaksa.
Among the spectators were Sports Minister C B Ratnayake, parliamentarian Duminda Silva, Chief of Defence Staff Air Chief Marshal Roshan Goonetileke, Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya, and Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Thisara Samarasinghe.
