4000-year-old human skeleton found in Sri Lanka now on display

Professor Samanti Kulatilake of Sociology and Anthropology Department of Canada's Mount Royal University says that the research on the first ever complete pre-historic skeleton found in Sri Lanka has been now completed.

The human skeleton, found from Miniethiliya village of Hungama in Hambanthota district was traced to belong to a man lived in the Mesolithic Period. The skeleton, named as Menikhami is 4,000 years old, tests have revealed.
The tests on the skeleton had been carried out at the Mount Royal University.
The skeleton is now on display in the ancient star-shaped Dutch Fort in Matara in the Southern Province of Sri Lanka, the Archeological Department announced.
