The Sri Lankan government today (24) announced its decision to hold a Cabinet meeting on July 14 in Kilinochchi of the once rebel-controlled North.
Minister Maithripala Sirisena told the media a short while ago that the Cabinet will meet with President Mahinda Rajapaksa at the chair on July 14 in the former LTTE stronghold.
The government has also decided to hold Cabinet meetings in every district in future, he remarked.
The Cabinet usually meets once a week at the Temple Trees in Colombo.
