A 25-member Pakistani business delegation met Sri Lanka's Industry and Commerce Minister Rishad Bathiyudeen and held discussions this morning on the investment opportunities in the country.
Minister Bathiyudeen pointed out to the visiting delegation that there is a great opportunity for an exchange of technology and to expand import opportunities between the two countries.
The Minister said that facilities will soon be extended for the Pakistani businessmen to undertake investments.
The Pakistani delegation accompanied by the Consul General of Sri Lanka in Karachi, Sidath Kumar arrived in Sri Lanka on Wednesday for a week-long visit. They are to attend the INTRAD Expo 2010, International Trade Fair and Investor Forum on May 7 and participate at the Investor Forum on May 8.
