The INTRAD - Expo 2010 International Trade Fair and Investor Forum organized by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka in association with government ministries commenced today at the BMICH in Colombo.
The three-day forum running from May 7-9 concurrently with the INTRAD international trade exhibition intends to expose Sri Lanka's products, services, and investment opportunities following the end of the North East conflict.
The exhibition is an effort by the NCCSL to develop the industrial sector in Sri Lanka and popularize investors of industry to strengthen the Sri Lankan economy.
Nearly 100 local and foreign investors are expected to participate in the forum. Representatives of the Board of Investment (BOI) and the Central Bank were scheduled to deliver speeches to the participants.
Among other things, the forum intends to create a platform for importers, exporters, service providers, buyers, sellers, those looking for investment opportunities, investment promotion agencies, exporters who wish to find products for export, local suppliers of finished products and raw materials and logistics providers to meet.
