Conservative Party leader Cameron becomes Britain's' next Prime Minister
Following the electoral victory of his party in the general election held on May 06 Conservative Party leader David Cameron has become the new British Prime Minister forming a coalition government with Liberal Democrat Nick Clegg as his deputy.
The formation of the coalition government was necessitated by the lack of majority seats from any single party. Conservative party won most of the seats but fell short of a majority to form a government.
Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa held discussions with the 43-year old Conservative Party Leader when the former visited the United Kingdom in June 2008.
